The Create Your Own Wine team-building has two basic stages:
FIRST STAGE: The hosting wine expert introduces the game to the guests, dividing them into a team for each table, and conducts a mini tasting, teaching the basics of sensory analysis, but also the history of wine and wine-making techniques. The winemaker explains mixing and blending techniques to the participants. The team-building activity really gets going once we have learned these basics!
SECOND STAGE: This is the start of the teams’ attempts to create the wine that best represents them and that can lead them to victory. This fun challenge will be an exceptional chance to put both analytic skills and creativity to the test. Each team will have specific goals to achieve and strict rules to follow. It’s more about guests challenging themselves to do their best than competing with the other teams. The team-building continues with designing the label, which should express both the wine made and the spirit of the team. After the blending, there is a panel test of the resulting cuvées and judging of the final results.
The event can be done anywhere, but we suggest a winery or a place with a special atmosphere. At the end of the game, you might have a lunch or dinner paired with the wines created. The event includes a host and wine expert, bulk wine and the winemaker’s tools, a final toast with prosecco, and a prize bottle for the winning team. It lasts about 2.5 hours.
